Rupp Ruppster Project

I have a small but motivated group of students who were seeking a project that would be enjoyable for those with limited knowledge of tools and mechanics, but who are eager to learn. I thought that restoring the Rupp Ruppster would be a perfect fit.

Initially, we planned to simply clean it up and replace the tired Tecumseh engine with a Predator 420. However, shortly after we began the project, we discovered a new old stock (NOS) JLO 230 engine, complete with the original exhaust, carburetor, starter, and motor mount. It will literally drop right in!

Now, our plan is to restore the Ruppster as closely as possible to its original condition. Be sure to check back to see how the project progresses!
