Promark Baja Nomad Trike
During the height of the ATV craze, Alsport enthusiastically entered the three-wheeler market with their Tri-Sport series. Alsport, Inc. was based in Norwalk, Ohio, and offered an extensive lineup of trikes, providing some of the most popular and highest-quality models available. Their offerings included everything from a 3 hp 4-stroke engine to a powerful 340cc 2-stroke engine. Whether you wanted to enjoy trail riding on your property or race across the finish line, Alsport had a trike to meet your needs.
Alsport, Inc. was bought out by Promark Products Corporation of Norwalk, Ohio between 1975-76. Promark continued to produce Tri-Sports, deeming it the “Baja Series”. The most noticeable changes were a white body design with circular badging. It’s apparent that Promark didn’t produce many of the trikes, as very few survive today compared to the number of Alsport’s.
We are currently working on a classic Baja Nomad Trike. It originally came equipped with a Tecumseh 8 hp engine, but we plan to install a Predator 6.5 hp engine instead.
